The Contemporary Improvisation Department at NEC is putting on a fall concert in tribute to Ran Blake, one of the founders of the department, and a brilliant musician. I'm lucky enough to have had the opportunity to create a vocal quartet arrangement of Ran Blake's version of I Loves You Porgy, as heard on his album, Driftwoods. I'll be performing with Burcu Gulec, Caroline Kuhn, and Katie Martucci.
